Ulmus parvifolia (Chinese Elm) Workshop

Chinese Elm are perfectly suited as miniature trees. Their small green foliage and twiggy branches make them a classic species for bonsai. Considered a fast grower, they give plenty of opportunity for pruning. A great tree for beginners being very forgiving!

Chinese Elm are marginally hardy, meaning they do best with a short dormancy. We recommend allowing the tree to experience temperatures below 32* for a period of time. During the growing season, give full to partial sun exposure for best growth.

This workshop includes all needed materials; established tree, pottery, soil and wire.
Ideal for beginner and novice bonsai enthusiasts.
Tree is taken home after the class.
