January 25, 2020 - Making Bonsai With Ficus
9:30am - 3:00pm
Ficus are one of the most forgiving genus of plants for bonsai that I know. They're well known for rapid growth, easy back-budding, and being adaptable. Wiring techniques potting, and pruning with an emphasis on tree care are some of the topics that will be covered in this class. You'll be able to choose between Tiger Bark Ficus and Willow Leaf Ficus.
Please remember, ficus are not cold-hardy trees and will need light and warm temperatures indoors over the winter.
This workshop include tools to use and all materials - tree, pottery, soil, wire - as well as a lecture/demo.
Finished trees will be taken home after the class.
