Japanese Juniper may be one of the most common plants used in bonsai but maybe for good reason. Here are several reasons...
1) They can be trained in any bonsai style. From. uprights, cascade, to wind swept, serious bonsai to whimsical.
2)They grow fast. From spring to late fall.
3) They respond well to cutting back.
4) Grow well in full to partial exposure.
Workshop will include all the materials needed to make your own bonsai. A 10-12 year old plant and a pot. All needed materials included.
Students are instructed in wiring techniques to shape there tree, proper planting, and post care. All trees are taken home at the end of the program.
Junipers should not be considered as house plants and perform better when grown outdoors. More details provided in workshop.
